SoCal Executive Protection Firm Endorses Another Firearms Instructor

Yes it is true. There comes a time when you have to acknowledge the outstanding abilities of another. The person I 100% endorse is lifelong friend and fellow Firearms Instructor, J Michael McKirahan of Mindsight Firearms Training. Mindsight Firearms Training is located near the Twin Cities of Minnesota. J. Michael McKirahan puts together a great hand to hand defense and Firearms Training program. The programs offered by Mindsight Training are so great, that Gideon Protective Services and Mindsight Training are teaming up and creating our own joint pilot program. Why, you might ask? “Why is it important to train and prepare for a situation we pray will never happen? Having a firearm for personal protection is the right of every American and what we do with that right is up to the individual. Some of us, depending on which state we live, chose to carry our firearm on our person or we chose to have a firearm in our residence to protect our families. In either case, having a firearm gives us the ability to change the course of events in a situation in which we feel our life or the life of another is threatened. The split second decision to protect your life or the life of another can come with lifelong consequences. How do you train? Shooting skills are tangible and will deteriorate with lack of practice and repetition. We have a responsibility to our families and/or other people around us to maintain a very high level of training. Imagine saving the life of a family member or fellow American, because you have prepared and trained your body and mind for the worst possible scenario. Now imagine reacting to a situation you have never thought of, or trained for…. Now you are on trial for murder, or in a civil court battle trying not to lose everything you have worked for in your life. There are only three outcomes of a deadly force situation.

1. You respond by engaging your training and using the tools and skills you have built for a positive outcome.

2. You do nothing and live with whatever the result of someone else’s actions.

3. You respond without thought, never having trained or prepared your mind for such an event.”

American Pride Still Runs Deep

We all should be grateful for the folks who put their lives on the line for us every day. Lt. Kinard was the Marine Corp presenter. In case anyone is wondering, that is what a real Hero and Warrior looks like! Like the Lt. said, “it’s not about the war, it’s about the Warrior”. May God forgive America for its sins, and may God Bless America.

Are You Ready for a Vehicle Assault?

Are you and your client prepared in case you’re attacked while in your vehicle in-between business meetings, vacation traveling, or just regular commuting? Acts of violence, specifically kidnappings, are on the rise. We see in the news almost every night the violence that is taking place outside of our borders. But it does take place inside our borders as well. It is not as common here in the States, but it’s only a matter of time until the frequency of kidnappings and other criminal acts increases. People of wealth and stature are afraid it might happen to them due to the economic woes of the USA. The criminal element is becoming bolder and more brazen in their attacks and schemes. This has caused an increase in production and manufacturing for companies like Texas Armoring Company in Texas. Just watch and listen.

Armoring of any vehicle is available to all walks of life that have high exposure levels and feel the need for protection, but don’t want to pay for Executive Protection. But those Executive Protection Agents that protect clients every day, and do not have access to armored vehicles, should recommend armoring a vehicle for their client. Think about it. When are you most vulnerable? During transit in-between any function your client may have. When your client is at the office, home, or favorite vacation spot, you can “lock them down”. Southern California Executive Protection Firm Launches New Firearms Training Division

Let Gideon’s NRA and California DOJ certified instructors teach you the three secrets to shooting. After two days you will know what the secrets are and why they are important. You will learn the four universal firearm safety rules and be able to present your pistol from concealment rapidly, deliver well placed shots, clear all malfunctions, and perform tactical and emergency reloads. Learn the techniques that are proven to work should you ever decide to shoot in a lethal force encounter. With Gideon’s NRA and California DOJ certified instructors we keep our classes capped off to ten students. Smaller class sizes insure we can conduct a more personable shooting experience and give each of our students the time they deserve and require. A two day Pistol 1.0, Pistol 2.0, Shotgun 1.0, and Rifle 1.0 course normally costs $550. But due to the current economic woes, we are having an ”O-nomics depression price reduction sale”. The price of a 2 day course is only $400, a fraction of what your first weapon costs. We believe a one day course is not sufficient time to build confidence in your gun handling or to gain a lasting muscle memory foundation.

The reward for taking a 2 day course (besides honing great gun handling and marksmanship skills) is every student that brings a friend each member in that group will receive $50 off their cost of the course. Example: I sign up for a Pistol 1.0 course and 2 of my friends or family do the same; all three of us would pay $350 each for the 2 day course instead of $400 each, that’s $150 savings. If you have a private group of shooters and you want to have a private 2 day course all to yourselves on either a weekend or mid-week, call to reserve a private training session for your group or select one of the dates listed and we’ll make it happen.
